The Phlock of the Tri-Lakes Parrot Head Club had a very busy 2021. We were officially sanctioned on March 17th by PHIP and were off and working on helping to make our community a better place!
The Year in Summary
Our first official meeting was held on 4/7/2021 at the Grill at Clemson Marina. 25 People attended and became official members of the club. We have since grown to 60 members!
The Club vetted a number of local charities and selected the Golden Corner Food Pantry as our "Official" Charity. Over the remainder of the year, our club focused the majority of its fundraising efforts on the food Pantry. We held food collections, raffle drawings, A Party with a Purpose and a Rolling Stone Ticket Raffle to benefit the food pantry. Our total donation to the food pantry is $4730 in cash and 428 pounds of food!
The Club adopted a section of Highway 28 in the Bountylands and have held two trash collections. During these collections, club members picked up 63 bags of trash.
On August 28th, the Club held its first Party with a Purpose (as mentioned above). Nationally known Singer/Songwriter Aaron Scherz entertained and we held a very successful silent auction and raffle that benefitted the food pantry.
On October 10th, nationally known musician Mike Nash was our guest artist for our first House Concert.
During December, the club participated in the Town of Salem Christmas Parade. Our float theme was "How the Parrot Heads Saved Christmas.
On December 14th, a request came into the club from the Golden Corner Food Pantry to assist in loading a trailer with food and paper goods that was heading out on December 16th to support the victims of the Mayfield, Kentucky tornado. The Club sprung into action and raised an additional $650 to add much needed supplies to the trailer and 60 Christmas Stockings with small gifts as well. One of our club members volunteered to assist with driving the trailer to Mayfield on the spot.

We are excited to see how we can grow in 2022!
Our first meeting of the new year will be held on January 19th - 6-8 PM at the Grill at Clemson Marina Grill is open just for our meeting. Rain or shine, the Grill has a enclosed area in case the weather does not cooperate.
The Grill will be serving its full Menu and have the Bar open for our club!
